About this Project

Priorities

Just as the severe impacts of the pandemic on our beloved, local small businesses became alarming in May of 2020, a group of neighbors and volunteers came together to help with the following priorities:

Creating safe gathering spaces on the Ave to support community and local businesses this summer.
  • Help local small businesses survive the pandemic
  • Create space for safe social distancing for pedestrians on Ave
  • Attract customers to U District to compensate for loss of students
View our presentation to small business owners from last year to learn more about how the project came about.
