Morgan Smith & Co. and Legally Blonde

Highlights

Morgan Smith & Co.

The Morgan Smith & Co. was formed out of a deep reverence for American roots music and the rich, storied history of traditional bluegrass. Born and raised in the Pacific Northwest, bandleader Morgan Smith blends classic high-lonesome drive with a fresh, Pacific Northwest energy that resonates with audiences of all generations.
Rooted in the timeless acoustic tradition, the band honors the legacy of bluegrass history while keeping every performance lively, engaging, and upbeat. Whether delivering hard-driving breakdown instrumentals, soulful vocal harmonies, or reinventions of traditional standards, Morgan Smith & Co. crafts a warm, infectious atmosphere that brings folk and bluegrass history to life on stage.

Legally Blonde

Legally Blonde (2001) is rated PG-13.

Elle Woods gets dumped for not being serious enough, so she follows her ex to Harvard Law and beats him at his own game. Reese Witherspoon turns a one-joke premise into a sharp, generous comedy about being underestimated and refusing to change shape for anyone. Twenty-five years on, it still plays like a pep talk.

Presented in Fabulous U-D

This fall, every Friday movie is 'Screened in U-D'

U-D is not a projector upgrade. There is no equipment to rent and no app to download. The format is powered entirely by the U District audience in the 'User-Dimension'.

Each night, a limited number of attendees receive a sealed assignment, a prop, and a precise cue. Everyone else gets the show. Welcome to participatory cinema. Not available in theaters.
