Invite attendees to your business during the series!
Outdoors On The Ave
Outdoors On The Ave returns for four Friday evenings, September 11 through October 2, at the Square above U District Station. Free concerts at 6pm, free movies at dusk. Attendees arrive hungry before the music and stay through a film that ends around 9:30pm, which puts them on the sidewalk looking for dinner, coffee, and dessert on both ends of the evening.
Every attendee receives a free wristband good for discounts at participating businesses. Participation costs nothing. You set your own discount, and we handle the directory, the QR code, and the signage.
Here is how it works.

Passport to Businesses
Wristband Discount Program
All event attendees receive a free wristband printed with a unique raffle number and a QR code linking to a directory of participating businesses and their offered discounts. As a participating business, you agree to:
• Offer a discount off the entire purchase to any wristband bearer during the four event evenings (September 11, 18, 25, & October 2)
• Display the official participation sticker, provided by U District Advocates, on your front door or window
• Register by the deadline of September 4, 2026
No other commitment is required. The wristband and QR code system drives traffic to you.
Raffle Prize Contribution
Optional
Businesses may also contribute a gift certificate or prize of $50 value or more to be awarded in the free attendee raffle. Prize donors will be announced at the event alongside their contribution. Prizes may be issued as your own gift card or coupon, or we can provide a U District coupon with a unique serial number and online verification.

Presentation of Passport to Businesses Promotion

We're bringing back the Passport to Businesses promotion that was launched during the World Soccer Fan Celebration in July of 2026. We invite you to view the presentation delivered at the Informational Session, hosted by the University District Partnership in April. The promo for Outdoors On The Ave is similar.
